Haiti
Please join us in praying for healing for the people affected by the earthquake. Also please pray for the relief workers to have God's wisdom, strength, and courage through the power of God's love.
A member of Precious Kids will be taking medical supplies and food to Haiti and working with the relief efforts Jan. 27-Feb 6. To support the relief efforts of this trip, donations can be sent to the Manhattan Church of Christ.

Precious Kids Ministries (PKM) began our work in Haiti with a 7 day trip to northern Haiti in Jan. 2009. We stayed at the Center for Biblical Training (CBT) which is close to Cap Haitian, the 2nd largest city in Haiti.
As part of a medical mission team, we went to 7 villages to encourage the churches there as well as to provide medical clinics and interactive children's programs for each community.
PKM continually supports two groups of children in Haiti:

-60 children from Milot (see below)
-70 children at a school
in Dubre

PKM responded to an immediate need for children, many of whom are orphans, near Milot, Haiti who were hungry and in jeopardy of losing the opportunity to continue school. more info
PKM provided the children with:
*Food (4- 120lb bags of rice, bulgar, and beans, large cans of powdered milk, and 3 boxes of canned vegetables)
*Toiletry items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, nail clippers and files, combs and hair ties, anti-bacterial ointment and bandaids)
*Worm medicine
*School tuition for the orphans
*Bibles for the church in Milot

In April 2009, Precious Kids sent clothes, shoes, toys, sheets, and blankets to several of the ministers and an orphanage in Haiti to distribute to the children in their care.
Precious Kids is continually gathering Bible school materials in Creole and clothes to send. We are also in the planning stages for establishing a much needed feeding program for the children in Milot and Dubre.
Please keep Precious Kids Ministries in your prayers as these new programs are developing. Most of all, please keep the children, their families, and the ministers who also care for them in your prayers.
